Most travel sites tell you where to go. We tell you what to do when you get there.
MyTravelPalwas built after analysing 24 of the world's most popular travel websites and finding the same gap in all of them: nobody was helping travellers with the real, practical, human side of arriving in a new country.
The Promise
Your travel pal. In every country. For every question.
Before you land and after you arrive — we cover the questions that appear after the trip is booked and before the first good local decision gets made.

Why We Exist
The internet is full of travel inspiration. It's missing practical survival.
Think about what you actually need when you land in a new country. You need to know how to ask for water in the local language. Whether the tap water is safe. What not to say so you don't accidentally offend someone. How to get from the airport to the city centre without being scammed. What the dress code is for a religious site.
None of the 24 websites we reviewed do all of this well. Most do some of it — poorly. MyTravelPal does all of it, brilliantly.
Built for Real Arrivals
Not another dream board.
We designed for the first 24 hours, not the fantasy version of travel. The tone, structure and visuals are all meant to feel calming, premium and instantly usable when someone has just landed.
The Editorial Focus
We design for the first 24 hours.
Every guide is structured around three moments that matter most to travellers.
Before you fly
Language phrases, currency basics, dress codes and cultural expectations — all ready before you leave the lounge.
When you land
Airport-to-city routes, transfer options, arrival checklists and the first decisions to make without second-guessing yourself.
On the ground
Local etiquette, food guides, tipping culture, emergency numbers and the habits that help you feel at home faster.
Six Things We Do Brilliantly
Everything every guide covers.
Language survival
10 phrases per country, written phonetically. Order food, ask for help, find a taxi — without pulling up Google Translate.
Cultural dos & don'ts
What not to say, what not to wear, how to greet people, and the customs that could accidentally offend if you don't know them.
Food & allergy guides
Must-try dishes, common allergens, how to order politely, and what the tipping etiquette really looks like.
Safety & essentials
Emergency numbers, tap water safety, vaccination advice, currency tips and common tourist scams to watch for.
Airport to city
The fastest, cheapest and most reliable ways from the airport into the city for every destination we cover.
Insider local tips
The real advice locals give each other — when to eat, what to avoid, how to get around and what the tourist trails miss.
The Gap We Fill
What 24 competitors all get wrong.
We reviewed every major travel website before building MyTravelPal. Every single one had the same blind spot: inspiration without survival.
Information overload, no practical phrases, feels corporate
Phrasebooks exist but are buried, no personality, looks dated
Budget-focused, one person's perspective, no cultural guides
Only 83 cities, no language phrases, no survival info
Dry and corporate, no local tips, no food guides
Generic tips, destination lists, no real practical value
What we do differently
The friend who's been everywhere.
MyTravelPalis the difference between reading a travel encyclopedia and getting advice from your most well-travelled friend. Warm, practical, direct and always specific to the country you're actually visiting.
